During this week filled with invaluable exchanges and novel insights, they presented their paper and project on the Digital Reading Room, a legally sound and technically capable space where sensitive data can be accessed for research purposes. Audience members posed great questions and expressed interest in the project, later fueling discussions of future collaborations during the coffee break.

Subsequently Louise was invited to attend the PARBICA conference at the New Zealand National Archives, where exchanges between archivists from the Pacific region took place as well as a visit to the Nga Taonga Audiovisual archive of New Zealand.

During the following weeks, Louise was invited as a visiting researcher at Te Puna, the National Library of New Zealand in close collaboration with the National archives of New Zealand. The institutions organized formal introductions, and Louise gave a presentation at two occasions, for the archives and library staff and on invitation of the Te Papa Tongarewa national museum, also for their lawyers and staff working on the digitization of the heritage collections. Furthermore, individual meetings and discussions were organized throughout the research stay, which led to rich discussions and exchanges on novel access protocols, reparative metadata descriptions, digitization infrastructure, and online platforms which are currently being used and worked on in New Zealand. We hope to be able to continue this dialogue and collaboration through digital pathways crossing continents.
